Now may you be committed to the Lord our God with all your heart by following his laws and observing his commands, just as you are doing right now.” ~ 1 Kings 8:61
Through this series, we are talking about what it means to make meaningful promises in a commitment phobic culture and how our pledges can help us grow in faith and in our relationships. This year, we are asking you to prayerfully reflect on your commitments to Trinity’s ministry and make three commitments: 1. To grow in your faith 2. To be rooted in our community, and 3. To build a foundation for the future. These are the goals our church made last year as part of our strategic planning process and our hope is that they will guide us to a closer relationship with Jesus and our community. We hope you will consider increasing your gifts of time, talent, and treasure. We have set some ambitious goals this year! In addition to increasingly meaningful engagement in worship, we are aiming for at least 50% of our congregation to participate in missions and to increase our giving by 5%. Just like we exceeded our goals last year, we are hopeful that everyone can give a bit more this year in order to meet the 5% increase.
We invite you to make three commitments in 2025:
